Here’s a “GigaPan of a GigaPan” that I took at the IVRPA Conference in Palmela in Portugal last week. It’s looking towards the superb “Royal Wedding” GigaPan that Henry Stuart of Spherical Images took for the BBC. Henry not only gave a great presentation at the conference but was selected to have his image displayed in Palmela square for all to see…

Quick test of the Pentax K5 with a Samyang 8mm. Shot in JPEG I took 4 shots around @ -15 degs plus 1 shot vertical @ 90 degs.

Kit Used:

Settings on the NN5 were: LRS=50 URS=96.

Took this panorama this morning at -11º Celsius! Batteries were dying on the Pentax Kx but I think it was worth it! Kit used:

Remove Tripod From Panorama with Panoweaver 7.1!

Panoweaver 7.0 for Windows is updated to 7.10.5349, tripod remove feature is added! Convert your panorama to cubic and then find Remove Tripod option under panoramic view of this panorama. No need to use other photo retouching software! Just select the tripod area and remove it!

Canon EF 8-15mm f/4 L USM fisheye zoom lens

While we were exhibiting at Photokina last week, we managed to get our hands on the new 8-15mm zoom lens from Canon. We were not allowed to take images from the lens on our own camera but we were allowed to take some shots of the lens itself as well as the image in the viewfinder when set to 8, 12 & 15mm. Here they are:

Here’s a 360 x 180 full spherical panorama taken with the GigaPan Epic Pro and a Canon 7D using a Canon 15-85mm lens.

Note: This is quite a large image at 10,000 x 5,000 pixels…
