Details
GeoVideo is an ArcGIS extension (version 8.3 to 9.3) that provides geospatial random access to digital video through the ArcMap interface. Using a compatible digital video camera and Red Hen Systems' Video Mapping System (VMS), or the Spatial Digital Video Recorder (sDVR), users can import and use geo-tagged digital video quickly and easily in ArcGIS project.
*Note: GeoVideo has not been tested with ESRI ArcGIS version 9.3.1. Recommended operating systems is Windows XP. Not compatible with Windows Vista. When using Windows 7, you must run software in the XP emulator.*
Control Playback within ArcGIS Using Red Hen Systems' video collection hardware, video is automatically associated with the location where it is taken, and the path of data collection saved as a shapefile or geodatabase index layer. Clicking on the index layer results in playback of the video from the selected point, and a moving cursor updates current location on a map. Bring into view the real world visualization of your projects like never before
Support Decision Making During playback, the information contained in the rich audiovisual content is easily translated into point feature database attributes, including associated still image captures. The union of time, date, and location data with audiovisual content is a powerful model enabling informed decision-making.
Scales to the Enterprise While many projects can be managed by a small number of desktop users, video contains a wealth of information useful to many users across an organization. For some, this information becomes a valuable combination of content and services delivered through the Internet. Red Hen Systems offers its MediaMapper Server integrating your geospatial multimedia libraries and DBMS with ESRI Server GIS products enabling geospatial multimedia application at the enterprise level.
