Best of the Best - Combines our NN5 with the RD16 advanced rotator. Click stops as small as 3.75 degrees. Shoot giga-pixel images up to 200mm focal length.

The Nodal Ninja 5 series pano heads were built off the award winning NN3. Slightly bigger stronger and more robust this series will support heavier cameras and lenses. Less than 2 lbs in weight this series is best suited for those with larger cameras like the Nikon D3X or Canon EOS. Some medium format camera will also fit. And lenses as well as cameras usuing optional battery grips.  You can also mount your camera in both landscape (horizontal) and portrait (vertical) orientation.

The only difference between NN5 and NN5L "Lite" is that NN5 has the ability to lock the upper rotator lock in any 15 degrees increment. These positive locks can be disengaged on the fly without having to remove your camera by using the built-in locking lever. Because of the positive locks NN5 is able to support up to approx 22 lbs of weight (10 KG). Ideal regular use working load should be about half the maximum weight load.
NOTE: If your camera or camera grip has an offset tripod mount (from center of lens) you will need to order a t-adapter (sold separately).

Lower R-D16 Rotator Features:
Part in a series of Fanotec's new top of the line CNC machined advanced rotators. These rotators combines high precision, ease of use, compactness, light weight and durability. The inner ball bearing construction also provides for very fluid rotation. You can now change click stops on-the-fly. Ideal in time sensitive situations in which shooting must be completed quickly, such as in shooting high resolution multi-image mosaics or shooting the same scene at different focal lengths.

The RD16 has 16 different selectable click options suitable for wide angle, standard and long focal length shooting to approx. 200mm.

note: the bubble levels are extremely sensitive so some bubble drift may occur during rotation. The drift is not enough to cause problems with stitching. Just level the first shot only and you are good to go for the entire sequence of shooting.
